three Production Methods for grip Socks
| Method | Core Materials | Estimated Cost | Advantages | Disadvantages | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hot Glue Method | Hot glue gun & glue sticks | Very low | Extremely low cost and easy to use; glue dots come in various colors and can be customized in shape and layout. | Durability is moderate—may peel off after washing; feels stiff to the touch. | Those seeking the lowest cost, temporary use, or light-duty applications. |
| Iron-On Transfer Method | Iron, inkjet-printed design, transfer paper/film | Low | Enables printing of highly detailed, full-color logos; efficient for producing multiple pairs at once. | Requires transfer materials and blank non-slip socks; mastering iron temperature and timing takes practice. | Users who want to quickly replicate intricate logos onto multiple socks. |
| Factory Mass Production | – | Moderate | High-volume output with consistent, reliable quality. | Longest lead time; requires sample design discussions and approvals with the factory. | Those prioritizing ultimate eco-friendliness and slip resistance, and who don’t mind hand-sewn details. |
Production Process
Hot melt glue method + hand-painted logo
- Prepare:Select a pair of clean dark-colored cotton socks (better at concealing processing marks), and prepare a hot glue gun and textile dye.
- Drawing the Logo: Use a brush to draw the logo on the designated area on the outer side of the sock. Allow it to dry completely for at least 24 hours to ensure the color sets.
- Creating anti-slip dots: Apply hot melt adhesive evenly across the sock sole in dots approximately 5mm in diameter, spaced 1-2cm apart. Allow to cool and cure completely after application.
Iron-on Transfer Method
- Tools: Household iron or heat press machine, craft knife + cutting mat, and a pair of blank non-slip socks.
- Logo Design: Create a mirrored pattern using computer software and print it onto stickers with an inkjet printer. (This step can be skipped by purchasing pre-designed heat transfer stickers online, or by designing your own logo stickers
- Heat-stamped logo: Logos are typically placed on the side of the sock cuff, the top of the foot, or the ankle area. Apply heat transfer stickers at 170°C for approximately 15 seconds.
